The vicious attack October 7, by Hamas on innocent Israeli citizens has brought to fore an explosion of destructive and significant issues in our society. These are situations that the SCV has been struggling with and defending against for years. Fortunately, the issues are front and center on all national news shows and there is nowhere to hide for the major players. Let’s briefly review just two matters in question.
Today is October 31, and please examine how these two conditions combine to manifest: For well over two weeks protests have occurred on liberal (especially Ivy League) campuses where in many cases there are calls to kill and eradicate Jews. There has been little to no reaction of disgust by the college administrators or professors. The protestors declare Israel started this recent war and that there was no terrorist attack, and, furthermore, there was no Holocaust. Much of our liberal media is trying hard to support that narrative.
Last night on Fox News Brett Baier and Britt Hume were commiserating that, “they knew there might be an undercurrent of hatred against Jews but they couldn’t believe there would be an outward overt manifestation of this hate like we are seeing in the United States.” My questions are, “where have you been and why the hell not?”
My next questions are, “Do you see that the Jews are not the only immediate target?” And, especially, “do you see and appreciate that every quality American institution and value has been under attack for years?” Wake up!
There were huge demonstrations held Saturday, November 5, at multiple locations in the United States, the largest at the White House in DC. Almost exclusively, Muslim immigrants demonstrated and demanded the Jewish state of Israel be eliminated. “The Jews started the current war,” “The Jews are slaughtering the Palestinian women and children,” “The Jews have no right to occupy Israel,” “The citizens of Gaza are innocent and shouldn’t be punished.” It continues. The ignorance was over- whelming and the hatred was palpable.
The president has already equivocated and called for a “pause” in hostilities for “humanitarian” purposes. The former president has chimed in to say the situation is “complex. Yes, the attack was horrific, but…”
Two things: 1. Total ignorance of the facts or total denial of the facts by this huge alien population in the United States is guaranteed to lead to bigger problems. What our children are taught or not taught in schools and at home has consequences.
2. The overwhelming weakness by this administration on the world stage has NOT gone unnoticed. Iran and its proxies have been anxiously awaiting this moment. The Chinese, Russians and North Koreans are watching.
It is easy to get wrapped up in all these problems occurring around the world. But, please, remember, first and foremost, this is an American problem. We must solve these issues at home. Write letters, make phone calls, email your congressmen. Attend the local school board meeting. Make your voice heard. Bring a like-minded friend to an SCV meeting.

- Many colleges and universities have become cesspools of radical anti American ideas. It began with the notion of free and open speech but morphed into hatred of traditional American values with no exchange of ideas (i.e. woke and cancel culture). And, it was easy to meld the students minds because they have been learning the distortions and lies since grammar school.
- Unfettered immigration has led to huge populations of different nationality groups that, for the most part, have no intention of assimilation into the democratic American culture. They take advantage of the positive aspects of our society while continuing to promote the growth of their different culture. Two examples are the huge influx of Afghans (90k) and the open border policy (2.5 million this year with 600k got-aways) of the current administration that allows anyone to enter from anywhere.
